What is the difference between Happyhomecare's 24-hour care and regular home care?
When someone needs care day and night, there are generally two options: regular 24-hour home care or specialized live-in care from Happyhomecare. While both options focus on intensive support, they differ significantly in approach, continuity, and experience.

We believe that you have the right to care in a home environment where you feel safe and comfortable.
At Happyhomecare, one of two permanent caregivers lives in the client's home. They alternate every six weeks, so there is always a familiar face present. The caregiver provides support with physical care, daily structure, medication, meals, and social contact—all in the client's familiar environment.
This type of care is particularly suitable for people with:
-
Chronic conditions (such as dementia, acquired brain injury, or spinal cord injury)
-
A need for safety and continuity
-
A home situation where informal care is at risk of becoming overburdened
Happyhomecare also actively assists with applying for a Personal Budget (PGB) and drawing up a care plan, so that everything is arranged smoothly — from assessment to implementation.
We believe that you have the right to care in a home environment where you feel safe and comfortable.
With regular 24-hour home care, a caregiver visits several times a day, often from different organizations. In many cases, this results in fragmented moments of care and changing faces. This can work well for mild to moderate care needs, but is less suitable when:
-
The care needs are complex or unpredictable
-
There is a need for proximity and continuity
-
The client feels unsafe or lonely between care moments
What does 24-hour home care entail?
24-hour home care means a healthcare professional is always present in your home, day and night, to care for your loved ones. This can be a tremendous relief for families worried about the safety and well-being of their loved ones. Our caregivers are trained to provide a wide range of medical and personal care, including:
-
Medical care: Administering medication, wound care, and performing other medical procedures. This also includes specialized care for chronic diseases and postoperative care.
-
Personal Care: Helping with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and eating. Our caregivers ensure your loved ones feel clean, comfortable, and dignified.
-
Domestic chores: Grocery shopping, cooking, and light housework to maintain a comfortable and safe living environment. This allows your loved ones to focus on their recovery and well-being.
-
Emotional support: Being present for conversations and companionship is especially important for people with dementia or chronic illnesses. Our caregivers build strong, supportive relationships with their clients, helping them feel less isolated.

Experiences of Satisfied Clients
At Happyhomecare, we greatly value the experiences and feedback of our clients and their families.
